Marcus Maddison has asked to speak to theposh.com following Saturday's FA Cup tie at West Bromwich Albion.

Peterborough United midfielder Marcus Maddison has requested the chance to talk to theposh.com to apologise for not thanking the 4,000 supporters who made the trip to the Hawthorns in Saturday's Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie.

Maddison was introduced as a second half substitute as Posh fought back twice to earn a replay against the Premier League side.

"The supporters were fantastic at West Brom on Saturday, they were behind the players from start to finish and the atmosphere they created was incredible. I wanted to make sure that they were aware of how grateful I was for their support.

"I was very frustrated at the end of the game because I had a chance to score with a free-kick and I didn't hit the target.

"I was disappointed, but that isn't an excuse to not show my appreciation with my team-mates for the support we received. I am working extremely hard on my game in training to improve every day."
