Tash Applegate at the double as Posh Ladies record comfortable win.

Peterborough United Ladies got back to winning ways with a comfortable 4-1 win against Corby S&L Ladies. Bryony Fox opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a simple tap in after Jess Driscoll's mazy run and cross.

The Ladies then had to wait until the 48th minute before Amy Challis rifled in a right footed shot in the 18yard box to make it 2-0. Corby and S&L pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 but two late strikes from Tash Applegate in the 83rd and 88th minute made it easy in the end for the Peterborough United Ladies.

This was a deserved and ultimately a comfortable win for the Ladies. Credit to the Corby Ladies who defended in numbers and despite injuries to a number of players battled until the final whistle.
