Striker Tom Nichols believes the ABAX Stadium will be the place for entertainment this season.

With six goals in the opening two games and 21 in Grant McCann's six competitive games in charge of Peterborough United, it is not hard to fathom out why striker Tom Nichols believes that entertainment will be high on the menu this season.

The former Exeter City front man, who came off the bench to bag a brace to secure the club's passage into round two of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night and a tie with Premier League side Swansea City at the ABAX Stadium, believes Posh can reclaim the 'Entertainers' tag that has been attributed to the club in recent years.

"Why wouldn't you come and watch us?" Nichols said in the post match press conference following the 3-2 success over AFC Wimbledon. "You are guaranteed goals and entertainment. Some of the goals might fly in at the wrong end, but that is a risk when you play open, attractive football like we do.

"We have scored six goals in two matches and haven't played that well. Just think what we will be like when we start flying. I can't remember how many 3-2 scorelines I have been involved in since i joined, but it feels like there are quite a few.

"I was delighted to get my first goals at the ABAX Stadium, they are a long time coming and hopefully I can carry that form on. I have always been confident in my ability and I am playing for a team that carve out a lot of opportunities," Nichols said.

Posh entertain Bradford City on Saturday and then Millwall on Tuesday evening at the ABAX Stadium in a tough 'home double-header'. Tickets are on sale for both matches at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934* and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
