Posh host Doncaster Rovers at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United entertain Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) with Darren Ferguson making his first return to the ABAX Stadium since his departure earlier this year.

Graham Westley's men go into the game on the back of a 3-2 defeat against Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening. In the last three fixtures at the ABAX Stadium there have been a total of 18 goals scored.

Westley said: 'Our feet are back on the ground after Wigan. We’ve been put in our a place a little bit and we know we have plenty of work to do.

'We’ve made a positive start though. We haven’t set the world on fire, but we’ve made steps forward from where we were. We have been working hard on the defensive aspect of our game in the last few days.

'When I first came into the club I wanted to get the team playing attacking football and I think we have been able to do that, but we know that we need to tighten up a bit at the other end because we can't be conceding as many goals,' Westley said.

The Posh boss will be without the services of Marcus Maddison for a further two weeks. Jack Baldwin (knee), Joe Gormley (knee) and Kgosi Ntlhe (toe) are sidelined.

Michael Smith and Erhun Oztumer didn't train on Thursday so are rated as doubtful for the game. They both suffered knocks on Tuesday evening. Harry Beautyman returned to training on Thursday and is closing in on a return to the first team fold after an injury-ravaged campaign to date.

Doncaster boss Darren Ferguson won his first game in charge on Tuesday night, a 2-1 away success at Shrewsbury Town. Keshi Anderson scored the winner that night and he has proved a decent signing for Rovers.

One switch which has been forced upon Ferguson in terms of his personnel for the game is in defence as Gary MacKenzie has a slight tear in his thigh suffered in Shropshire and he will not feature. Luke McCullough is likely to start as Rob Jones is still suffering with a hamstring injury.

Posh have good memories of playing Doncaster - the last meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-0 victory for Dave Robertson's men at the Keepmoat Stadium with Luke James and Conor Washington on target.

Ticket sales for the game are encouraging so it should be a decent crowd at the ABAX. Tickets can be purchased at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934 and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.

There will be a one-minute silence ahead of the fixture to commemorate Remembrance Day. It is the nearest fixture to the date for Posh with the FA Cup draw being made on Monday evening.
