Determined Posh Secure Points
Peterborough United made it four wins from six as goals in either half condemned Swindon Town to defeat, but Graham Westley's men had to show true grit and determination at the County Ground to secure all three points.Jon Taylor and Lee Angol had given Posh a 2-0 lead, but a Michael Bostwick own goal gave the Robins hope, but, marshalled by Gabriel Zakuani, Posh put in a determined defensive display and ground out the victory.

The lively Ben Gladwin, making his second debut after returning on loan from Queens Park Rangers this week, saw a fierce drive fumbled around the post by Ben Alnwick on 22 minutes.

Forrester was denied by Vigouroux on 33 minutes as the Northern Irishman bundled his way into the box at the far post. The deadlock was broken on 37 minutes and it was a well crafted Posh move, Forrester to Anderson who cushioned a fine pass into the path of TAYLOR who squeezed home a shot with his left-foot past Vigouroux.
Ormonde-Ottewill curled a shot over the bar on 49 minutes as the home side made a bright start to the second half with boss Mark Cooper making one or two tactical changes to his XI.
Posh made it 2-0 on 51 minutes and you have to say as goalkeeper rickets go, this was up there. A simple back pass was completely missed by Vigouroux and ANGOL had the simple task of tapping the ball into an empty net.
Bostwick picked up his seventh caution of the season for a crude tackle in the centre circle on 57 minutes.
Brophy twisted and turned in the box just after the hour, but his curler went wide of the far post as Swindon came close to halving the deficit.
Posh were forced into a change on 68 minutes as Jack Collison replaced the injured Forrester in midfield. Bostwick was denied by a fingertip save from Vigouroux on 71 minutes, but amazingly a goal kick was given by the officials.
Swindon got themselves back into the game on 72 minutes as a free-kick from Rodgers was headed into his own net by Bostwick at the near post.
Posh made an immediate change with Souleymane Coulibaly replacing Washington in attack. Five minutes were added on by the fourth official as Posh desperately tried to cling on for the three points.
