Venue packed to capacity for business launch night of Chris Turner Statue Fund.
The Chris Turner Statue Fund launch night for local businesses took place at the ABAX Stadium on Thursday 19th November with the Sponsors Lounge packed out with individuals keen to show their support.
On Friday 20th November, it is the turn of the supporters to get their chance to pledge their support to this venture.
The official launch night for supporters will take place at the Caroline Hand Executive Suite at the ABAX Stadium on Friday 20th November from 7pm.
The night will include a special tribute DVD to Chris Turner with former team-mates and colleagues of the great man set to be present.
A group of long term Posh fans got together immediately after the passing of Chris Turner to discuss the possibility of commemorating the great man in such a way that fellow Posh and football fans in general could pay their respects.
The most visually impressive way it was quickly agreed would be a life-size statue and so the massive project began to raise the funds to finance the tribute.
Admission for the fans launch night will cost £3 with all money raised going direct to the fund. The bar will also be open on the evening. Tickets can be pre-purchased at www.theposhtickets.com or from the Posh Ticket Office in person. Alternatively, fans can pay cash on arrival.
