Posh head to in-form Preston North End on Tuesday evening.

Peterborough United make the long trip north to Deepdale to face in-form Preston North End in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).

The Lilywhites warmed up for the clash with Posh with a dominant 5-1 victory over relegation-haunted Crewe Alexandra at the weekend with striker Joe Garner netting four of the five goals.

Preston have won seven out of their last eight  league games including notable successes over Milton Keynes Dons, Chesterfield and Sheffield United and sit in the automatic promotion places.

Dave Robertson has won the first four games of his tenure in charge including the 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers and Posh could find themselves in the play-off positions if results go favourably.

In terms of team news, Posh have no new injury concerns so will just be without long term absentees Jack Baldwin and Jermaine Anderson while Marcus Maddison serves the second of a three match ban.

Garner and Jermaine Beckford have formed an effective partnership in attack for Preston and are set to continue against Posh with Sylvain Ebanks-Blake an option from the substitutes bench.

Robertson is well aware of the threats Preston could pose, but is admant his players go into the clash in confident mood. 'Preston are a good side, they have had an excellent campaign, but we want them talking about what Peterborough can do how we can cause them problems.

'We go there in confident mood, we are going there to attack and be positive. We have no fresh injury worries and everyone is raring to go,' Robertson said.

Tickets are on sale until 12pm on Tuesday at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1945 and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office. Fans can pay on the turnstiles at Preston for no extra charge.
