The Peterborough United under 18s drew 0-0 at Plymouth Arglye on Saturday morning.
After a seven-hour journey to Devon, the Peterborough United under 18s gained a creditable 0-0 draw with Plymouth Argyle at the weekend.
The youngsters created several chances to take all three points with Jonny Edwards' effort from an almost impossible angle clipping the crossbar inside the opening three minutes.
Goalkeeper Henrich Ravas made a fine stop to push a fierce effort around the post in the second half, but Posh defended resolutely throughout, with Liam Marshall among the star performers.
Posh included two under 16s in the squad with Dion Moore starting and Michael Ford introduced from the substitutes bench.
Manager for the day, Ryan Semple, said: 'It was a good performance from the lads. It is a long way to go for a fixture, I think the boys probably spent around 14 hours on a mini-bus there and back, but they worked really hard in the game and in my opinion, did enough to win the game.
'When we had to defend, we defended well and I think Liam Marshall was probably the best player on the pitch.'
Posh: Ravas, Robinson, Marshall, Luto, Maslen-Jones, Keating, Hood, Friend, Adebayo-Rowling, Edwards, Moore. Subs used: Lee, Ford.
