Peterborough United entertain Premier League side West Ham United at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (3pm) and manager Dave Robertson believes it will be the perfect test for his players as preparations continue for the Sky Bet League One campaign.
The Hammers first team squad will be on duty with established stars like Kevin Nolan and Mark Noble set for action and Robertson is certain it will be an entertaining afternoon of football.
'It is a great game for the players and a great game for the supporters because it is a first team West Ham side that will be at the ABAX Stadium. West Ham have been back in pre-season for a few weeks now and they will provide a strong test for us but we are very much looking forward to it.
'I am sure it will be a decent crowd, not just because of the strength of the West Ham team, but because it is a good opportunity for the Posh fans to see our summer signings in action.
'There are a number of connections between the two sides, my assistant manager Grant McCann started his career at the Boleyn Ground and Jack Collison played a lot of games for the Hammers over a long period of time,' Robertson said.
