Posh host Ipswich Town in a pre-season friendly at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United continue their preparations for the new Sky Bet League One campaign with a home fixture against Championship side Ipswich Town at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

The Tractor Boys defeated Cambridge United in their first pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening while Posh remain unbeaten in their schedule after a 2-1 win at League Two new-boys Barnet earlier this week.

Manager Dave Robertson is expected to give many of his squad a 90-minute run-out against Mick McCarthy's men with only Jack Baldwin and Harry Beautyman unavailable due to injury.

'Ipswich will provide a really good test for us,' Robertson said. 'They are a strong Championship side and are ideal opponents at this time in pre-season. We have done well in pre-season so far both performance-wise and results-wise and we want that to continue.'

Midfielder Jack Collison is expected to up his playing time as part of his continued programme and will feature against one of his former clubs.

Please note that the adult price for this game rises to £15 if bought on the day of the game.
