The Peterborough United squad are set to take over Nando’s in Cathedral Square and you could be served by your favourite player!
Members of the Peterborough United squad will put their cooking skills to the test at the end of August after being signed up for the second year in a row by Nando’s to feed the people of the city and the surrounding areas.
It proved to be a big success last year when players’ took to the grills and money raised on the evening will go to Age UK Peterborough.
The event will take place on Wednesday 26th August from 6.00pm until 8.00pm with admission just £5 for adults and £2.50 for kids, not only will the players be cooking up a storm in the kitchen, they will also be available to sign autographs and pose for pictures. On the evening, there will be a raffle to win superb prizes from Nando’s and the football club.
‘I think it is common knowledge that footballers up and down the country list Nando’s as one of their favourite restaurants and it is no different here at Peterborough United! It is a good way of raising some money for an excellent cause too.’
Laura Read, General Manager of Nando’s Peterborough commented: ‘We are delighted to be teaming up with Peterborough United again – it is a partnership that we are really pleased is developing and we know that the event can raise a lot of money for a locally-based charity.
‘It will be a great opportunity for supporters to see their favourite players behind the grills and tills for the evening, all in the name of charity.’
We will be revealing the identity of the players who will be involved shortly.
You must reserve your space before the 21st August 2015. To book a spot at the restaurant for the takeover, either pop into the Cathedral Square Nando’s or call them on 01733 551222 between 8am-11am or email Peterborough@nandos.co.uk
