Peterborough United have completed the signing of Andrew Fox following a successful trial.

Fox has spent several weeks training with the football club and travelled with the squad for the pre-season training camp in Ireland last week.

The 22-year-old can operate on the left-hand side of midfield or at left-back and has returned to England following four years in America.

Manager Dave Robertson said: 'Andrew comes with a good pedigree and has spent time over in the States playing football and studying. He brings a bit of versatility, he can play in a number of positions and I am looking forward to working with him, developing him and I believe that he brings good competition for places. I am pleased it is all done.'

Fox added: 'I have been on trial for a couple of weeks now and have really enjoyed it. I have spent the last four years in Austin, Texas but I had a contact at the football club and wanted to come over and try and win a contract and I am delighted things have gone well.

'I managed to complete the first challenge, now I need to kick on and try and break into the first team. There is a lot of very good players here and they have made me feel very welcome. I have played a bit further forward than left back previously, but I have been really enjoying that particular role in the games that we have played.'

Fox will wear the number 18 shirt this season. You can watch the full interview with Fox on the club's YouTube channel.
