Peterborough United held a strong West Ham United side to a 3-3 draw at the ABAX Stadium.

Dave Robertson's men played some excellent football throughout and came back from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw with Slaven Bilic's men in front of just under 4,000 at the ABAX Stadium.

Ricardo Almeida Santos, Jon Taylor and Michael Bostwick were on target for Posh with Jack Collison introduced five minutes from time for his first appearance in a Posh shirt.

Mark Noble sent a speculative volley wide of the upright on three minutes as the Hammers made a bright start at a muggy ABAX Stadium.

Kgosi Ntlhe's strong tackle and forceful run down the left created the first half chance for Posh as Washington sent a cross-shot across the six-yard box.

On seven minutes, Posh opened the scoring and it was a first goal for Ricardo ALMEIDA SANTOS, who rose highest from a left-wing corner to power home a header past Adrian.

It was nearly 2-0 moments later as a mazy dribble from Jermaine Anderson and an intelligent pass to Gormley saw the summer signing in a decent shooting position, but his fierce drive was gathered at the second attempt by Adrian.

Ben Alnwick produced a superb reflex stop to keep Posh ahead as Sakho diverted a Pike effort goal-wards, but the Posh shot-stopper was powerless to stop Mark NOBLE who found the corner with an excellent effort from the edge of the box.

Moments later and the Hammers were ahead as an underhit back-pass put Alnwick in trouble, his clearance struck SAKHO and the ball looped into the empty net.

On 25 minutes, the Hammers extended their advantage as Martin SAMUELSON fired low into the bottom corner after patient approach play from the Premier League outfit.

Posh should have reduced the arrears on 35 minutes as Maddison and Gormley linked superbly to create a great opportunity for Taylor, but he fired over from 10-yards.

Posh did get themselves on the scoresheet on 40 minutes as a glorious defence-splitting pass from Bostwick found TAYLOR racing clear, he rounded Adrian and slotted the ball into the empty net.

Dave Robertson made one switch at half-time with Jon Taylor replaced by Harry Anderson. The Hammers replaced Winston Reid with Doniel Henry.

James Collins had the ball in the back of the net on 53 minutes after a Nolan flick-on, but the offside flag cut short the celebrations.

Posh levelled the scores at 3-3 just before the hour mark as Maddison was felled in the box and Michael BOSTWICK thumped home the spot-kick.

Nasha was denied by Alnwick on 77 minutes after letting fly from 35-yards as the Hammers pushed for a winning goal.

Mavilla saw a curler well held by Alnwick on 80 minutes. Da Silva Lopes wriggled into some space a minute later, but his powerful drive cleared the crossbar.

A mistake from Alnwick allowed former Posh striker Jaanai Gordon an open goal to aim at, but he side-footed into the side-netting. Alnwick then pushed away a free-kick from the impressive Cresswell.

Posh introduced Jack Collison for the final five minutes with Harry Anderson the man replaced.
