Peterborough United made it 15 goals in four pre-season games after an entertaining 3-2 win over a youthful Tottenham side.

Dave Robertson's men are still unbeaten in pre-season after recording their third win out of four at the expense of the Tottenham Hotspur development squad at the ABAX Stadium.

Michael Bostwick registered the first shot of the game, but his powerful side-footed effort went wide of the near post.

Jack Collison was an influential figure in the midfield, his pass to Washington was cushioned into the path of Taylor, but he fired inches past the post.

Posh were playing some excellent stuff in tight areas and the home faithful were certainly enjoying themselves as the quarter hour mark passed.

Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick palmed over a free-kick from Cy Goddard on 16 minutes before Kenny McEvoy fired a left-foot shot wide.

Maddison fired over from 25-yards on 23 minutes as Posh counter-attacked at pace. The deadlock was broken on 27 minutes as Smith's low centre was coolly converted by Joe GORMLEY, who's low effort from 10-yards fizzed past Glover in the Spurs goal.

Collison was withdrawn after just over 35 minutes of action with Jermaine Anderson his replacement. Maddison tested Glover with a swerving shot from distance on 43 minutes, which the keeper did well to hold.

On the stroke of half-time, another flowing Posh move involving Bostwick, Ntlhe and Washington ended with a curling effort from Maddison that was well held by Glover.

Posh doubled their lead on 48 minutes and it was all the work of Conor WASHINGTON, he nicked the ball off the Spurs left-back, forced his way into the penalty box and then squeezed the ball under goalkeeper Glover with his left-foot.

Ben Alnwick did well to save with his legs after McAvoy got in behind Ntlhe down the right as Spurs tried to find an immediate response. On 59 minutes, the visitors reduced the arrears as substitute Shayon HARRISON was afforded too much time to rifle home past Alnwick.

Jermaine Anderson tested substitute Spurs goalkeeper Glover from range with the shot-stopper making a routine stop.

Dion-Curtis Henry made a decent save on 74 minutes to stop a well-flighted free-kick from Goddard as Spurs tried to find an equaliser.

That leveller came on 77 minutes as substitute AZZAOUI robbed Maslen-Jones on the touchline who was trying to let the ball go out of play and rolled the ball past the onrushing Henry.

Trialist C sent a fierce shot over the bar from the edge of the area moments later. Trialist C showed neat control and an explosive effort on 84 minutes, keeper Sheldrick pushing it around the post.

Posh got themselves in front on 85 minutes as Kyle VASSELL fired a low shot in off the inside of the post.
