Joe Gormley scored his first Posh goal as Dave Robertson's men claimed a 3-2 win at Dulwich Hamlet.

Peterborough United struck the woodwork four times and carved out numerous other clear cut opportunities against Dulwich Hamlet in the first pre-season friendly in preparation for the new Sky Bet League One campaign.

Hamlet goalkeeper Wilson was in inspired form, but he couldn't prevent Joe Gormley from netting his first Posh goal as Robertson's men twice came from behind against their hosts in an open encounter.

It was Jon Taylor who netted the winner, firing home late on after good work from Gormley down the right.

The deadlock was broken inside the opening six minutes as CLUNIS was afforded time and space inside the six-yard box to fire home past goalkeeper Henrich Ravas.

It didn't take Posh long to get level as on eight minutes, a well worked short corner was fired into the bottom corner from just inside the box by Harry ANDERSON. Posh had actually came close to levelling moments before as Oztumer raced onto a Payne pass, but after rounding the goalkeeper, his shot was cleared.

Anderson came close to giving Posh the lead on 10 minutes after another short corner caught out the hosts, his shot was fierce and on target but a retreating defender somehow manager to block the effort.

Jack Friend and Kane Ferdinand exchanged passes on the quarter hour mark, but the former's shot drifted wide of the upright.

Edwards then capitalised on a defensive mix-up at the back for the hosts, but he poked his volley wide of the far post. On 35 minutes, Payne fired wide from 30-yards after winning the ball in the centre circle.

Three minutes after the re-start, the hosts got themselves back in front as a free-kick from the right was nodded home from close-range by Matt DRAGE.

On 55 minutes, superb work from Anderson down the right saw him burst past the full-back and cut the ball back perfectly for Edwards, but he scuffed his shot well wide of the target.

Oztumer saw a fierce drive tipped over the bar and from the resulting corner, Anderson fired wide of the near post.

Dave Robertson changed nine players on the hour mark with only goalkeeper Ravas and a trialist surviving.

Within 60 seconds of those changes, Washington escaped the offside trap and squared for the onrushing Taylor, but he was superbly denied by Hamlet goalkeeper Wilson from point blank range.

GORMLEY didn't worry about that disappointment though, two minutes later he had the ball in the back of the net as Maddison's cross was converted by the former Cliftonville man.

Maddison saw a skidding right-foot shot fumbled by Wilson as Posh, buoyed by the changes, pushed forward. Jarrett fired over for the hosts at the other end after cutting inside onto his right foot.

A corner kick from Maddison was glanced towards goal by Gormley on 73 minutes, it then hit Taylor and struck the post before it was hacked to safety.

Gormley then struck the inside of the post with a rocket of an effort after a clever pass from Maddison as Posh hit the woodwork for the third time in the contest.

Gormley was then denied by the legs of the keeper after more excellent movement allowed him to ghost in behind the back line. Washington then saw a shot blocked before Maddison's cross just eluded Gormley in the box after a forceful run.

Maddison unleashed a stinging effort on 81 minutes that Wilson somehow diverted onto the top of the crossbar before Robinson fired over.

Posh got the third goal late on as Gormley rounded the keeper and chipped a delightful cross to the back post where Jon TAYLOR controlled beautifully and fired home past Wilson to secure a deserved friendly success.
