Souleymane Coulibaly scored his first Posh goal as Dave Robertson's men beat Barnet 2-1 at the Hive.

The win took the Peterborough United goal tally to 17 during pre-season and continued the club's unbeaten run as preparations for the Sky Bet League One campaign continue.

Coulibaly finished well and celebrated in style with a backflip before Harry Anderson doubled the advantage with an improvised volley after linking with his namesake Jermaine. Michael Gash replied with a consolation goal with the last kick of the game.

Robertson gave much of his squad players a run-out and there were several who impressed with solid displays.

Kyle Vassell tested trialist Bee goalkeeper Ashlee on four minutes after a bright start from Dave Robertson's men in the late July sunshine at the Hive.

Yiadom tested youngster Henry with a skidding shot on 12 minutes as the Bees counter-attacked at pace down the right.

John Akinde had the ball in the back of the net on 17 minutes after a clever pass from Weston, but the offside flag was up and the celebrations were cut short.

Fox, who signed this week alongside three others, cut inside onto his right-foot after a forceful run, but the keeper made a routine stop.

Henry did well to hold a stinging Yiadom effort on 19 minutes as both sides began to settle into the encounter.

After a long throw from Togwell, Barnet came close to the breakthrough as the ball dropped at the feet of the experienced Lisbie, but goalkeeper Henry made a smart stop with his legs to keep the ball out.

Henry made his best save of the evening on the half hour mark as he denied Vilhete at the near post after a low corner from the right.

A well-worked short corner kick routine presented Posh with their best effort of the first half on 38 minutes as Harry Anderson skipped past a weak challenge, but the winger blazed over the bar from just inside the box.

Barnet struck the top of the bar through Lisbie five minutes before the break after Weston nodded a deep corner back across goal. On the stroke of half-time, Vilhete stabbed wide after a deep cross from Hoyte.

Posh made a change at the break with Ricardo Almeida Santos replacing Zakuani in a pre-planned change. Coulibaly was then denied by a superb save by the Bees goalkeeper, his downward header pushed onto the inside of the post.

The deadlock was broken on 50 minutes and it was a first goal in the blue of Posh for Souleymane COULIBALY who collected a flick on from Vassell and rifled home past the goalkeeper on his left-foot low to Ashlee's right.

Henry produced a fine stop at full stretch to deny a downward Akinde header less than 60 seconds later to preserve the Posh lead.

Dave Robertson made a double change on the hour with Lee Angol and Erhun Oztumer introduced. Yiadom fired over with a speculative volley on 63 minutes for the Bees.

On 66 minutes, Posh doubled their lead as Harry ANDERSON raced onto a Jermaine Anderson through ball, the keeper initially did well, but as the ball bounced loose, he had the presence of mind to hook a volley over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

Henry was brave to dive at the feet of Batt from a right-wing cross as the Bees tried to reduce the arrears.

Substitute Erhun Oztumer fired over from 25-yards after patient play from Robertson's men as the fixture entered the final 10 minutes. Michael GASH fired a  consolation goal with a well-struck volley, but his effort proved to be the last action of the game.
