Posh head to Meadow Lane to face Notts County on Saturday in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
Peterborough United travel to Meadow Lane on Saturday to face Notts County desperate to turn the corner after a disappointing run of form.
Darren Ferguson's men have slipped down the League One table in recent weeks, but the nature of the division means a victory could close the gap to the play-off positions to just a handful of points.
The Posh boss watched the Magpies in their 0-0 draw at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night and is expecting a well-drilled and organised side.
'They have a lot of experience in their ranks in the form of Mullins, Smith and Jones and they are a gritty team to play. They dig in, don't give much away and it will be a tough game. I went to see them on Tuesday night and that performance was what I expected.
'They haven't changed much since we played them earlier in the campaign in terms of their attributes so we know what to expect. We have worked on a few things this week in preparation for the game and it is one that we have to look forward to,' Ferguson said.
Ferguson is still without the services of Gabriel Zakuani (away on international duty), Jack Badlwin (long-term absentee) and Jon Taylor (knee). Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick is also unavailable due to a thigh injury.
Notts County will be without striker Kwame Thomas and midfielder Liam Noble. Noble serves the final game of a two-match ban, while Thomas is suspended after being sent off amid confusing scenes against Doncaster and is likely to be replaced by Balint Bajner.
Bajner came on during the draw at Doncaster after agreeing a short term move following his release from Ipswich Town.
By 10am on Friday, Posh had sold close to 800 tickets for the clash. Fans can pay on the turnstiles at Meadow Lane.
