Posh travel to league leaders Walsall on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).

Peterborough United travel to Sky Bet League One leaders Walsall on Bank Holiday Monday as Graham Westley's men look to build on the 2-0 home success over Chesterfield on Saturday.

The Posh boss could freshen up his starting line-up for the clash with the Saddlers who moved to the summit of the league table after a hard fought 1-0 away win at the New Den against Millwall.

Harry Beautyman was forced off with cramp in the latter stages of the 2-0 win over the Spireites but will be available for selection, but Gabriel Zakuani, Callum Elder, Jermaine Anderson, Joe Gormley, Shaun Brisley and Kgosi Ntlhe are all sidelined.

Lee Angol and Martin Samuelsen both made an impact from the substitutes bench and will be pushing for a start while Andrew Fox is an option at left-back should Marcus Maddison be deployed further forward.

New signing Jordan Nicholson was an unused substitute on Saturday and he admitted afterwards that it was a 'dream come true' to sign for Posh.

'It has been a mad week and it was amazing to be on the bench and watch the team play on Saturday. It is a dream come true to be here and I can't wait to get started. I know I am going to have to work extremely hard but I love a bit of hard work,' Nicholson said.

Westley said: 'We assessed the energy levels of the squad on Sunday morning and will pick our team accordingly. I was pleased with the performance against Chesterfield but we are looking to what lies in front of us now.

'Walsall are top of the league, but everyone knows that a Peterborough side will go there and try and get on the front foot from the first whistle and we will try and impose ourselves on the game.'

Posh had sold around 500 tickets in advance for the clash at the Banks's Stadium and fans can pay on the day.
