The ABAX Stadium plays host to a gift station this Christmas.

As the festive period approaches, a series of gift stations are popping up in offices, shops and venues around Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough encouraging supporters to give an extra gift this Christmas.

The hospice’s corporate partner Mick George Ltd has delivered dozens of specially branded wheelie bins at Sue Ryder shops, local businesses and shopping centers in Huntingdon and Peterborough including Peterborough United Football Club so the general public can donate a Christmas gift for a patient or an item that can be used as a raffle prize to raise additional funds for the Hospice.

The Gift Station will be present at the ABAX Stadium  for the forthcoming FA Cup fixture against Luton Town on Sunday (6th December). Please feel free to bring any donations along.

Thorpe Hall's corporate fundraiser Kate Bement said: "This is a lovely initiative giving local people the chance to get involved in the festivities at Thorpe Hall. Santa comes to Thorpe Hall on Christmas Eve and thanks to the team at Mick George Ltd he will now have a sack full of gifts to give to those people who are spending Christmas in the hospice. And those donations which aren't given as presents will be used to raise money to fund incredible care at Thorpe Hall into the new year - an invaluable gift."

Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd. commented: ‘’Christmas is a magical time of the year and should be enjoyed by everyone. For those spending this period in the Hospices great care, we wanted to make it extra special.’’

‘’The initiative has received some wonderful support from local businesses, in which we are particularly grateful. It’s good to see that we can work collaboratively for the benefit of a wonderful cause.’’
