Posh host Sheffield United at the ABAX Stadium this evening (7.30pm) in Sky Bet League One action.

Peterborough United host one of the promotion favourites for the Sky Bet League One title at the ABAX Stadium this evening as Sheffield United visit for what seems to be the traditional Tuesday night fixture between the two sides.

Supporters are reminded that the fixture kicks-off at 7.30pm to allow visiting supporters to return to Sheffield on public transport.

Dave Robertson has only lost one fixture at the ABAX Stadium since taking over the reins and is looking forward to the clash with the Blades.

'It is going to be an exciting game. I’m looking forward to it and I know my players are as well. I’m sure Sheffield United will be relishing it as well because the ABAX Stadium is going to be a tough place to visit this season.

'We had a good result against Sheffield United last season in my second game in charge. I seem to recall it was our first Tuesday success for over a year and a first win at Brammall Lane which made it particularly special. But that is in the past and we need to focus on the present challenge they will provide.

'They have appointed Nigel Adkins as their manager and he has good experience of this league and they have a strong squad,' Robertson said.

The Posh boss is waiting on the fitness of Michael Smith and Tobi Adebayo-Rowling ahead of naming his starting line-up. Smith has a back problem while Adebayo-Rowling suffered a slight groin injury in the win over Colchester United.

Jack Baldwin is the only other absentee with Robertson confirming that Jack Collison is available for selection.

Sheffield United are without injured defender Bob Harris but are not expected to make wholesale changes from their 2-0 win over Chesterfield.

The Blades are expected to bring a large travelling support to the ABAX Stadium for the fixture. Posh fans can purchase tickets at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934 or in person at the Box Office.
