Peterborough United will face Championship side Charlton Athletic at the ABAX Stadium in the second round of the Capital One Cup after the draw was made live on Sky Sports on Thursday evening following Doncaster Rovers' victory over Leeds United on penalty kicks.
Dave Robertson's men progressed into the second round of the competition following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Crawley Town at the ABAX Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Robertson, speaking to theposh.com, gave his immediate reaction to the draw: 'I am over the moon to get a home draw in the second round of the competition. I am looking forward to welcoming Charlton Athletic to the ABAX but obviously we are focusing the next league games and in particular Colchester on Saturday.'
