Motorpoint is teaming up with Peterborough United next week to raise money for charity.

The UK’s leading car supermarket, which is based on Edgerley Drain Road in the city, has joined forces with Peterborough United to host a special Charity Car Wash on Thursday, August 20.

Posh stars Jermaine Anderson, Kyle Vassell and Kgosi Ntlhe have all agreed to come straight from training to Motorpoint Peterborough exclusively to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty washing fans cars between 2-3pm. During that time Motorpoint
Peterborough will donate £50 to Age UK for every car that the players successfully wash.

The club’s mascot Peter Burrow will also be onsite to give the players a helping hand while the whole event will be filmed for feature on the club’s popular You Tube channel. Plus, everyone who has their car washed by the players will be entered into a prize draw to win a brand new Peterborough United 2015-16 home shirt.

Chris Goodison, General Manager of Motorpoint Peterborough, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming the guys down to Motorpoint Peterborough on Thursday, August 20 and would encourage as many Posh fans as possible to come down on the day to have their cars washed by the players.”

Alex Harris, Commercial Manager at Peterborough United, added: “We’re always looking at different ways in which we can support our partners and the car wash is a unique way to do just that for Motorpoint – hopefully raising lots of money for charity in the process.”
Motorpoint recently agreed to sponsor the Posh players’ training kits for the next two seasons. This compliments its on-going naming rights agreement for the 2,500 all-seater Motorpoint Stand which runs until the end of the 2016-17 season.

The Charity Car Wash will take place at Motorpoint Peterborough on Thursday, August 20 between 2 – 3pm in aid of Peterborough and Fenland Mind.
