Posh have secured the loan signing of Leicester City left-back Callum Elder.

Peterborough United have signed Leicester City left-back Callum Elder on a one-month loan deal with the Australian going straight into the squad for today's Sky Bet League One clash with league leaders Gillingham.

The 20-year-old, who scored for the Foxes under 21s on Monday, made 21 appearances in a loan stint with Mansfield Town last term and arrives at the ABAX Stadium to provide cover for Kgosi Ntlhe who has been struggling with a toe injury.

Elder is an Australian under 20 international and will wear the number 32 shirt for Posh.

Manager Dave Robertson said: 'Callum will offer us natural balance at left-back. He is one that is highly though of and comes with a good pedigree. He is an Australian under 20 international.

'We are really looking forward to working with him and for him to show us what he is capable of at League One level.'
