Peterborough United home campaign with an entertaining 4-3 victory over Crawley Town.

Conor Washington scored a last minute winner as Peterborough United came back from 3-2 down to win 4-3 over struggling Crawley Town at the ABAX Stadium.

Lee Fowler tested goalkeeper Ben Alnwick from distance in the early exchanges while at the other end, Marcus Maddison saw a low shot gathered at the second attempt by the experienced Jensen.

Jensen was well positioned to gather a speculative volley from Michael Bostwick on six minutes. Pogba was well positioned to press Alnwick into a save on 10 minutes, but his attempted header hit his shoulder and rolled harmlessly wide.

An excellent Posh move involving Newell and Oztumer created a chance for Marcus Maddison in the box, but his left-foot shot was too close to Jensen who scooped the ball clear. Da-Silva Lopes then scuffed the rebound before the ball was hacked clear for a corner kick.

A fine cross from Maddison picked out the smallest player on the pitch, Erhun Oztumer, on 19 minutes, but he glanced his header wide of the far post.

On 31 minutes, the visitors opened the scoring as Posh were caught out down the right and as the ball was delivered low into the box, Marvin ELLIOTT swept high into the net from eight yards.

Washington tested Jensen with a low shot from distance after a clever ball from Bostwick into his path on 34 minutes. Maddison forced Jensen into an uncomfortable save on 37 minutes, the experienced shot-stopper scooping the ball away.

On the stroke of half-time, Posh drew themselves level as a low shot from Bostwick struck the post and rebounded kindly for WASHINGTON who tucked away his 12th of the campaign and third goal in three games.

On 52 minutes, Posh got themselves in front for the first time in the game as BOSTWICK collected a pass from Smith, advanced into a good shooting position 25-yards from goal and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Lee Fowler fired wide from distance on 56 minutes after neat work on the edge of the box by Elliott. On 58 minutes, the visitors drew themselves level as a long throw from Young was flicked on at the near post and POGBA guided the ball into the top corner from close-range.

Anderson fired over after linking well with Washington on the hour mark as Posh tried to get themselves back in front. Alnwick did well at the other end to smother at the feet of McLeod after he had raced onto a long Jensen clearance.

On 66 minutes, the Reds made it 3-2 and it was former Posh midfielder Josh SIMPSON who did the damage, collecting a pass and firing low into the corner after some more poor Posh defending from the boys in blue.

Christian Burgess replaced Santos on 69 minutes. On 87 minutes, Posh drew themselves level with the goal of the game as BOSTWICK took the ball on his chest and then on the stretch, fired an unstoppable shot in off the inside of the post.

As the game entered five minutes of stoppage time, Posh got themselves in front as a deep cross from Maddison was headed straight at Jensen by Zakuani but as the ball ran loose, WASHINGTON was there for his 13th goal of the campaign.
