Posh under 18s host Notts County in the first round of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday evening.
The Peterborough United under 18s face Notts County in the first round of the FA Youth Cup at London Road on Wednesday evening (7pm) and Academy Manager Dave Robertson is hoping for a decent crowd to support his youngsters as they look to build on an excellent start to the campaign.
The Posh youngsters are challenging at the top of the Youth Alliance League table and are hoping to progress as far as they can in the FA Youth Cup, a competition they have performed well in during recent seasons.
Last term, Posh fell at the fourth hurdle with Arsenal running out winners at London Road with Posh defeating Notts County, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Hull City on their notable cup journey.
Robertson said: 'Myself and the players are really looking forward to the game. We played Notts County in the Youth Cup last season and it was a great game for the neutral to watch. Jonny Edwards netted the winner in the last few minutes of extra time after a great ball into the box by Tom Conlon.
'Notts County are managed by Posh Legend Mick Halsall and I am sure he will get a warm welcome from the Posh faithful. I am hoping that the supporters come and back our lads. We have had a good start to the season and I have been pleased with them. I am sure it will be a great game to watch on Wednesday,' Robertson said.
Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Supporters can purchase tickets at www.theposhtickets.com or pay on the turnstiles. The Main Stand will be open for the fixture.
If the tie is level at the end of 90 minutes, it will go to extra time with penalties if required.
