Posh head to the Banks's Stadium to face Walsall on Saturday in Sky Bet League One action.

Peterborough United travel to Walsall on Saturday (3pm) in Sky Bet League One action looking to build on last week's 2-1 victory over Carlisle United in the first round of the FA Cup.

Darren Ferguson's men were beaten 2-0 by the Saddlers last term in a game that was televised live on Sky Sports and the Posh boss is aware of the threat that they can pose.

'To be fair, last season Walsall beat us very comfortably in what was one of our worst displays of the season. We know that we have to be miles better to get a result this time around.

'We have watched Walsall many times this season and their formation doesn't change too much. They have some good players and are in decent form, but to be honest, it doesn't really matter what form the opposing team is in, we just have to concentrate on ourselves. We will be respectful of the opposition, but it is about the standards that we reach,' Ferguson said.

Ferguson is without the services of Marcus Maddison and Jack Baldwin due to injury, although Maddison is slightly ahead of schedule in terms of his return to the fold although club officials are not setting a time frame on that.

Kgosi Ntlhe returns to the squad after hamstring trouble while youngster Liam Marshall is expected to travel with the squad after an excellent display for the youth team against Notts County at London Road in midweek.

Posh have sold over 300 tickets in advance for the game and fans are able to pay on the turnstiles at Walsall. Please note there is a slight price increase on the day.
