Conor Washington visits Newborough Primary School.

Peterborough United striker Conor Washington received a warm welcome when he attended Newborough Primary School on Thursday (20th November) afternoon.

The former Newport County front man visited the school as part of the Football Club’s school tickets initiative and was joined by the ever popular Peter Burrow.

After a brief presentation from the clubs Marketing Manager Neil Gilby, Washington was on hand to answer questions from the kids about how he became a professional footballer, his favourite match that he has played in and what car he drives!

The Football Club continues to develop partnerships with our local schools, which will see pupils, from over 40 schools already signed up with the club, receive a pair of tickets to three home matches at London Road, completely free of charge.
