Darren Ferguson gave his reaction to the FA Cup second round draw to theposh.com.

Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson was satisfied with the club's draw in the FA Cup second round after being paired with Sky Bet League One side Colchester United, with the tie taking place at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Ferguson believes that Posh fans could travel in high numbers with a relatively short journey and is desperate to go far in the competition.

'We have had some good games against Colchester in recent years and obviously the stadium holds special memories after the win to secure promotion a few years ago. We enjoyed a big win there in the Capital One Cup last season and hopefully our record in cup competitions against them will continue.

'However, they are a decent side and have improved since the change of manager. They have a lot of exciting players in their squad and it will be a challenging tie, but we are desperate to do well in this competition.

'I am sure the fans will be reasonably happy because it is not too far to travel and we always seem to take good numbers there. We will look forward to the game when it comes around but we have some big league games coming up before then,' Ferguson said.

Full details of when the tie will take place and ticket prices will be released in due course.
