Leader of Peterborough City Council Marco Cereste delighted that the new stand is open on Saturday.

The new Motorpoint Stand will be open for Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture with Swindon Town at London Road.

Councillor Marco Cereste, leader of Peterborough City Council, said: "We have all watched in anticipation as the new Moy's End stand has risen from the ground this year and so it's fantastic that fans can start using it from this weekend's home fixture with Swindon.

"The new community stadium is really starting to take shape now and it won't be many more weeks before the education and skills centre is completed.

"I'd also like to thank Kier, who have constructed the new Moy's End, for pulling out all the stops to complete the stand on schedule.

"I wish Posh the best of luck for the match on Saturday and hope they can celebrate the completion of their new stand with a win."
