Peterborough United’s New Sponsor Mick George Ltd. launches a Search for POSH Socerette’s

To coincide with the launch of new kit, sponsor Mick George Ltd. is leading the search for ‘POSH Soccerettes’ with a competition on its social media channel Twitter aimed at the club’s many female fans.

Women over the age of 18 are invited to put on their PUFC shirt and send in a selfie to enter the competition which offers a range of prizes, including the chance to play a part in the unveiling and promotion of PUFC’s new kit in June. The first winning ‘POSH Soccerette’ will be one of many as the season unfolds and will be picked by a panel of judges, which includes the current Miss POSH, Jess Weaver.

The revealing of the club’s new kit is always an event eagerly awaited by players and fans alike. The first ‘POSH Soccerette’ of the season will have the chance to be part of the new season’s “official squad photo day” and receive a commemorative shirt, signed by the first team, to keep.  In addition, Mick George Ltd. will provide the lucky winner with two hospitality tickets so she can celebrate her success in style.

With many other chances to win prizes, the Mick George campaign will run right through until the season ends next year and judges will select a ‘POSH Soccerette of the Month’. Ultimately, all Peterborough United fans will get in on the action and vote for their favourite, choosing an overall winner in a grand final.

To enter the competition, would-be ‘POSH Socerettes’ just need to follow club sponsor Mick George on twitter: and tweet their #MickGeorgeSoccerette selfie.  Entries are also accepted on email at: or by post to ‘POSH Soccerette Competition’, Mick George Ltd, Meadow Lane, St. Ives, Cambridgeshire PE27 4YQ.
