Posh visit Brammall Lane on Tuesday evening to face Sheffield United (7.30pm).

Peterborough United will be looking to bounce back following the 1-0 defeat at Crawley Town when they face Sheffield United at Brammall Lane in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday evening (7.30pm).

A Matt Tubbs penalty four minutes from time condemned Posh to defeat at the weekend, while the Blades continued their superb form with a 1-0 win at play-off rivals Milton Keynes Dons.

That victory was the club's seventh in a row and moved them into 13th place in the table. They are also in the quarter finals of the FA Cup with a tie against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson has a number of injury worries to contend with ahead of the game with defender Ben Nugent undergoing a scan on a hip problem. He limped out of the action 10 minutes from time at Crawley. Jack Baldwin is standing by to deputise.

Britt Assombalonga, Tommy Rowe and Danny Swanson all took knocks, but should be okay to feature. Kyle Vassell is definitely out with a broken toe.

John Brayford (calf) and Jamie Murphy (groin) were withdrawn on Saturday and are doubts. Harry Maguire (knee) and Stephen McGinn (back) did not travel on Saturday to MK Dons.

Ferguson said: 'Sheffield United are in excellent form and it will be a tough match. We were all disappointed with the result at the weekend and we know we have to put things right.

'I have a few selection dilemmas with a few players carrying knocks and other players pushing for a start,' Ferguson said.

At 3.30pm, Posh had sold 250 tickets in advance for the game. The match is not all-ticket.
