Joe Newell was on the score-sheet as the Development team beat Luton Town 2-0.
The Peterborough United Development Team were 2-0 winners over Luton Town at the Nene Park Academy on Wednesday morning.
Midfielder Joe Newell opened the scoring with a calm left-footed finish and youngster Jonathan Edwards sealed the win with a late strike from 18-yards.
The first half was fairly uneventful with only an Edwards shot that was saved and a deflected Jack Friend effort causing any concern for the Luton Town back-line.
Posh played at a far greater tempo in the second half and created a number of opportunities with Edwards, Friend and Newell all going close before the latter produced a fine finish following a good pass from Craig Alcock.
Goalkeeper Joe Day produced a couple of fine saves to keep Posh ahead before Edwards wrapped up the win.
Former Posh goalkeeper Mark Tyler, now with Luton, was there to watch the fixture.
