Pictures from the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Tour

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Tour visited the city last week and businesses across Peterborough took the opportunity to paint their premises blue in support of Darren Ferguson’s men who travel to Wembley on Sunday to face Chesterfield in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.

Ferguson joined Craig Alcock, Jack Payne and Joe Newell in Queensgate on Monday afternoon to meet supporters and have their picture taken with the trophy before the tour moved on to William Law Primary School, where an assembly about the competition was devised.

Britt Assombalonga, Jermaine Anderson and Kyle Vassell were then present at the Johnstone’s Paint Centre in Fengate to meet fans old and young and of course promote the final. They were joined by The Harrington Blues who performed an acoustic version of their track ‘Posh Have Got The Fire’, which is available to download via Soundcloud and watch via YouTube.

It wasn’t just where the players’ visited that got into the spirit. Nando's in Cathedral Square were visited by the trophy, while the Ice Rink in Bretton shaded the ice blue in support of The Posh.
