Football fans are being urged to have their say on what lengths they would go to watch a major football match in an exciting survey.

Johnstone’s Paint, long-term sponsors of the Football League Trophy, have launched the questionnaire, the answers of which will be used to demonstrate just how much football means to supporters in the UK.

All people who complete the ‘Football Mad’ survey will be entered into a special prize draw with three people drawn at random to receive an official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match ball and a pair of tickets to any Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match in 2014-15, including the final.

Ben Wilde, brand and sponsorship manager for Johnstone’s Paint, said: “This season’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final between Peterborough United and Chesterfield fell on Mother’s Day.

“It got us thinking what other special occasions a football fan would miss to watch the team they support or their country play in an extremely important football match.

“After sponsoring the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy for such a long period, we are really looking forward to seeing the results of our survey. It should make for some very interesting reading.

“The survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete and, with football very much on the agenda this summer and some great prizes up for grabs, we hope fans of all clubs will support it.”

The survey will close on Friday, June 6 at noon.

Johnstone’s Paint has been bringing colour to the beautiful game since beginning its sponsorship of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in 2006-7 and will continue as the tournament sponsors for 2014-15.

Johnstone’s Paint has a long history as a leading paint brand, with over 185 decorating centres around the UK, and will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2015.
