Posh take on Portuguese side S.C Freamunde in a pre-season friendly.

Peterborough United will continue their preparations for the 2014/15 campaign with a pre-season friendly against S.C Freamunde on Wednesday (16th July) evening, 7pm kick-off (no time difference).

Darren Ferguson’s team will face the Portuguese third division outfit with the match taking place at the Estádio da Nora in Ferreiras. This match is now open to the public to attend with admission free of charge.

Sport Clube Freamunde were formed in 1933 and are also known as The Roosters. Former Chelsea and Portugal international Jose Bosingwa started his professional career at S.C Freamunde.

Team News:
Manager Darren Ferguson is expected to field two different XIs for each 45 minutes as preparations continue for the new Sky Bet League One campaign. Midfielders Erhun Oztumer and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing along with goalkeeper Joe Day will miss the match as a precaution after picking up slight knocks in training.
