Peterborough United youngster Liam Marshall has been called into the Scotland under 18 for a two-day training camp at the end of July.
The defender, who scored twice in a pre-season win over Exeter City, will link up with the Scots on Sunday 27th July in Leicestershire.
It is the first time that Marshall has been called up by his country and Academy Manager Dave Robertson was delighted another one of his players has earned international recognition.
'It is fantastic for Liam. When I told him the news he was delighted. It was one of the targets that we had set for him at the start of the season. As Academy Manager, international recognition for our players is one of our targets.
'We want players to represent their country. I am sure he and his parents are very proud. It is a great achievement and a superb milestone for any youngster in their progression. We wish Liam well for the two days,' Robertson said.
