The Football Club are delighted to announce more details of the schools partnership initiative, which begins this season. There has been a phenomenal response from the schools so far and the club are extremely encouraged ahead of the opening few fixtures.
A total of 40 schools from Peterborough and the surrounding areas have joined forces with the Football Club, which could potentially see over 30,000 children/families attend home matches at London Road to watch up to three games free of charge.
As part of the programme, first team players will spend time at the school, getting involved in educational activities and events, ensuring the Posh squad are at the heart of the community.
Marketing Executive Neil Gilby said: ‘The Football Club is constantly moving forward and this initiative is a huge step to ensuring we create a new breed of Posh fan and by forming these relationships with the local schools we can help to educate the children that there is a fantastic Football Club on their doorstep. Why watch football on TV when you can experience the thrill of a match day here at Posh, it really is very exciting for all involved.’
