Posh host Tranmere Rovers at London Road on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United host Tranmere Rovers at London Road in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (3pm) with Darren Ferguson's men determined to end the club's recent poor form.

Posh have back to back home fixtures in the league with Notts County set to visit on Tuesday evening and six points could reignite the club's promotion push.

Boss Darren Ferguson welcomes back Nicky Ajose, Kyle Vassell and Peter Grant to the squad with the trio cup-tied in midweek. Lee Tomlin serves the second of his two-match ban, but Hogan Ephraim is available after suspension.

Craig Alcock remains sidelined, but is nearing a return, while a doubt remains on the fitness of Tommy Rowe who limped out of Tuesday's clash with Kidderminster Harriers due to a thigh problem.

Tranmere defender Ian Goodison is expected to be available after injury, but Danny Holmes is a doubt. The right-back has a back problem.

Experienced midfielder Grant McCann faced the press this week and insisted that the players are determined to put things right. 'We have had a number of meetings this week, the experienced players have been talking to the younger lads about just what it means to have a promotion.

'The lads are hurting, but we have to look ahead to the next game and we have a home fixture and another to follow and we know how important these games are.'

Tickets are on sale for the game at www.theposhtickets.com, via the 24-hour hotline 0844 847 1934 and in person at the London Road Box Office.

Peterborough have a 58.3% win average at home this season, however, of their 37 goals scored 24 have come away from home so any victory is bound to be hard fought as Rovers have an impressive 30.8% win record on the road scoring 14 times in 13 away games.

Both teams to score (currently 19/25 with Betbright) seems obvious, however we will not get rich quick with that market so let’s look a little further afield for some value. The Posh have taken a lead into half time in 5 of their 12 home league games this season and given the importance of this match one would expect a tense opening 45 minutes.

So, with this in mind we feel there is real value to be taken advantage of with the Draw/Peterborough market currently trading at an enticing 33/10 with Betbright.
