Lee Tomlin was sent-off as Posh were beaten 2-1 by Swindon Town despite dominating much of the second period at the County Ground.

Peterborough United were reduced to 10-men and saw Goalkeeping Coach Jimmy Walker sent to stands as Darren Ferguson's men were beaten 2-1 by Swindon Town at the County Ground.

Nicky Ajose had the first effort at goal on eight minutes after a dominant spell in possession for Darren Ferguson's men at a sunny County Ground.

Britt Assombalonga chose the wrong option on 18 minutes after he was left one-on-one with the last defender, ignoring the unmarked Ajose on his left and eventually seeing his shot blocked.

Rowe saw a shot blocked after excellent approach play from Lee Tomlin on 27 minutes. The deadlock was broken just before the half hour mark and it was no surprise given the troubles he has had this week with the club that it was Nile RANGER who glanced home the header.

Foderingham dealt with a bouncing free-kick from Rowe on 33 minutes after Little had been upended. Little found the side-netting on 36 minutes after a good link-up between Tomlin and Ajose as Posh tried to press.

Olejnik made a routine stop to deny Pritchard who cut inside from the left at pace moments later. Kasim fired wide in first half stoppage time after collecting a pass from the powerful Ranger.

Tomlin curled a free-kick over the bar on the stroke of half-time after he had been tripped by Luongo.

Posh were a whisker away from a leveller on 55 minutes and it was the best bit of football of the game as Tomlin exchanged passes with Ajose and unleashed a fierce drive from 25-yards which smacked against the angle of post and bar before rebounding to safety.

N'Guessan curled a shot straight at Olejnik on the counter-attack after a wayward Payne header moments later. Rowe was denied by a last-ditch tackle from Hall on the hour mark as Tomlin began to dominate possession.

Posh had the ball in the back of the net on 63 minutes as Ajose's cross-shot was turned in by Assombalonga, but the offside flag curtailed the celebrations.

On 70 minutes, completely against the run of play, Swindon made it 2-0 as midfielder KASIM was allowed to run and run from almost the halfway line unchallenged before firing low past Olejnik and into the bottom corner.

Byrne was denied goal number three by a fine stop from Olejnik on 72 minutes after Ranger's back-header picked the substitute out in space.

A superb pass from Payne picked out Knight-Percival at the back post on 77 minutes, but the left-back fired wide on the volley.

On 77 minutes, KNIGHT-PERCIVAL made amends with a superb strike from just inside the box, chesting the ball down before unleashing an excellent left-footed volley which went in via the underside of the crossbar.

Posh were reduced to 10-men on 83 minutes as Tomlin was shown a second yellow card for shoving the off-balance Kasim in the chest right in front of the linesman.

Goalkeeping Coach Jimmy Walker was sent to the stands following an altercation involving a number of personnel on 87 minutes.

In the first of five minutes of added time, Anderson headed over from a Bostwick knockback as Posh came desperately close to an equaliser.
