Posh Face Replay Against Harriers
Peterborough United hit the woodwork three times in the final few minutes, but will face a replay with Kidderminster Harriers at London Road after a goalless draw with their Skrill Premier League rivals.Inside the opening 60 seconds, Posh were fortunate not to be behind as a low cross from the right was diverted onto the crossbar by Shaun Brisley at the near post.
Vaughan saw a rising drive pushed aside by Olejnik on 10 minutes with Gash's header cleared by Bostwick,
Lee Tomlin fired over from 20-yards after an intelligent lay-off from Jeffers on 119 minutes. The impressive Lolley was then superbly denied by Olejnik after cutting inside from the left as the hosts came close to the breakthrough on the half hour.
Tomlin saw a free-kick beaten away by Lewis on 38 minutes as Posh enjoyed their best spell of the first half.
Assombalonga saw a powerful header from a Newell cross tipped over the bar, while Olejnik made a routine stop to deny a low shot from Gash from the edge of the area.
Newell curled wide from 20-yards on 52 minutes after a patient Posh build-up. Newell sliced two shots wide while Jeffers saw a goalbound left-footed effort superbly blocked by Storer.
Tomlin then fired straight at Lewis from close-range after an excellent Posh move involving Anderson and Ntlhe.
Vaughan blazed over on 63 minutes after he was played through on goal, although the ball did sit up for the full-back.
Bostwick fired over with a free-kick on 78 minutes after Ntlhe was upended 30-yards from goal. Assombalonga was expertly denied by Lewis on 83 minutes after a Jeffers flick.
On 88 minutes, Posh somehow failed to score. First, Tomlin saw a free-kick crash against the bar, Assombalonga then hit the woodwork and saw an effort cleared before Shaun Brisley's low half volley was diverted onto the woodwork via the defender.
