The football club have been informed of the sad passing of Oliver Conmy.
Peterborough United Football Club are saddened to learn of the death of former player Oliver Conmy following a long illness.
Conmy, who made a total of 304 appearances for the football club (in all competitions), has passed away at the age of 74.
The former inside forward made five caps for the Republic of Ireland during his six year stay at London Road.
Born in Mulranny, County Mayo, he helped the team to the quarter finals of the FA Cup for the first and, so far, only time in the club’s history in his first campaign with the club.
The football club have applied to the Football League for a one-minute of silence ahead of Saturday's game with Colchester United.
