The Posh squad are set to takeover Nando's in Cathedral Square and you could be served by your favourite player.
Members of the Peterborough United squad will put their cooking skills to the test at the beginning of March after being signed up by Nando’s to feed the people of the city.The players will follow in the footsteps of the Huddersfield Giants and the Northampton Saints when they take-over Nando’s for the evening and money raised on the evening will go directly to one of the club’s chosen charities, the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.
The event will take place on Wednesday 5th March from 6.30pm until 8.30pm with admission just £3 and not only will the players be cooking up a storm in the kitchen, they will also be available to sign autographs and pose for pictures. On the evening, there will be a raffle to win superb prizes from Nando’s and the football club.
Club captain Tommy Rowe, who is among the Posh players cooking up a treat in the kitchen at the Cathedral Square Nando restaurant, said: ‘The players are very much looking forward to taking over Nando’s for the evening. It is a personal favourite of the majority of the squad, so to get the chance to cook on the grills is an exciting opportunity.
‘It is a great way of raising money for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice and we are looking forward to seeing so many supporters on the evening.’
