Pitch Passes Inspection

28 February 2014

No pitch problems anticipated ahead of Saturday's game.

There are no pitch problems anticipated ahead of Saturday’s SkyBet League One game at home to Peterborough.

Local referee Ashley Slaughter inspected the surface earlier today (Friday) and had absolutely no concerns.

With more rain forecast, the covers will remain in place overnight before being removed at 9am on Saturday.

Chief Executive Michael Dunford said: 'The referee was very pleased with the improvement in the pitch. The work we have done in the last ten days has paid off and it will be great to have a home game on Saturday at last.'

The club are looking for volunteers to assist in removing water from the covers and the covers themselves on Saturday morning.

If you can help, please report to the North Gate at the ground at 9am on Saturday.
