Posh travel to Crawley Town in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United go in search of their fifth win in the last seven games on Saturday when Darren Ferguson's men travel to Crawley Town in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).

Posh are currently third in the division's form table after an excellent run of recent results and can strengthen their play-off position with three points against the Reds on what is expected to be a very difficult playing surface.

Crawley have called a precautionary pitch inspection for 3pm on Friday, but remain confident the game will go ahead as planned on Saturday.

Posh have only one absentee in terms of injury with Kyle Vassell expected to face three weeks on the sidelines with a broken toe. Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Jack Payne are fit and available for selection.

Payne had a sore groin and missed the 1-0 win over Stevenage, but rest was the diagnosis and he is back in the squad.

Boss Ferguson, who watched Crawley in their 1-1 draw at Swindon during the week, said: 'Crawley are a good team. I watched them at Swindon and they played well. They are definitely in a false position in the league in my opinion and I am confident they will move away from the drop zone.

'They have a lot of games in hand and haven't had a home game for about five weeks, so I am sure the fans are looking forward to seeing them in action and it should be a good atmosphere.

'We go there in good form, the lads are in good spirits and I have a pretty full squad to choose from and believe me, there are a lot of players pushing for starts. Conor Washington and Jack Baldwin have both trained very well,' Ferguson said.

Crawley are skippered by former Posh midfielder Josh Simpson and also include another ex-Posh player in Sergio Torres in their ranks.

Posh had sold just under 300 tickets for the game in advance. It is not all-ticket for Posh fans, but there is slight price increase on the day. Fans have until 3pm on Friday to purchase in advance.
