The Posh under 18s beat Dagenham and Redbridge 6-0 at the Nene Park Academy.

The Peterborough United under 18s eased to a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge in the latest Youth Alliance fixture with striker Jonny Edwards bagging four goals in a dominant display.

Edwards slid home the opener after a low cross from Harry Anderson and then doubled the advantage before the interval.

Keano Robinson was twice denied by the Daggers goalkeeper who was in inspired form while Liam Marshall saw a header cleared off the line.

After the break, Posh continued to create chances and a deflected Jack Friend cross extended the advantage. Marshall had the chance to make it four but his penalty was superbly saved.

Harry Anderson then found the back of the net, converting a one-on-one opportunity after a scooped pass by Leonardo Da-Silva-Lopes.

Edwards completed his hat-trick and then rifled home a fourth into the top corner after slick Posh moves as Robertson's men put the Daggers to the sword.

Posh: Ravas, Luto, Trialist (sub Goode), Ward, Marshall, Humphrey, Anderson (sub Keating), Da-Silva-Lopes, Friend, Robinson, Edwards.
