Posh head to Fratton Park in the first round of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Peterborough United are in Capital One Cup first round action at Portsmouth on Tuesday night (7.45pm) and manager Darren Ferguson has a number of selection issues to decide ahead of kick-off.

Gabriel Zakuani sustained a hamstring injury in Saturday's win over Rochdale and will not be involved while Jon Taylor is a doubt after he was replaced during the second half at Spotland.

Joe Newell (broken toe) is definitely out while there are other concerns over individuals following the win with a chaotic end to proceedings due to players' picking up knocks.

It will be Portsmouth's first competitive home game of the campaign and a big crowd is expected at Fratton Park. Ferguson is looking forward to the tie.

'We have always played the strongest team we have available in cup competitions and it will be no different on Tuesday night. We would like to progress as far as we can in this competition.

'Portsmouth are a big club in League Two and I am sure with it being the first home game of their season there will be a big crowd and they always generate a brilliant atmosphere.'

Portsmouth goalkeeper Paul Jones will come up against his former club. Jones moved to the South Coast after leaving Crawley Town in the summer.

Posh have sold just under 200 tickets in advance for the game and there is no price rise on the evening of the game. Tickets are on sale until 11am on Tuesday at the London Road Box Office.
