Posh entertain Carlisle United at London Road on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).
Peterborough United go in search of three points that would strengthen their grip on the final play-off spot in Sky Bet League One when Carlisle United visit London Road on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).
Darren Ferguson's men had a bad Friday with defeat at Bradford City coupled with a win for closest challengers Swindon Town in the final moments of their clash at Coventry City.
That leaves the gap between sixth, which Posh occupy, and Swindon in seventh at four points with three games to play. Swindon play Bradford City on Monday while struggling Carlisle head to London Road.
The Cumbrians were thumped 6-1 in their last away fixture at promotion hopefuls Preston North End, but earned a 1-1 draw with Walsall in front of their own supporters over the weekend.
Posh go into the game without the services of defender Shaun Brisley who was dismissed at Valley Parade on Friday night. He serves the first of a two-match ban. He received a two-match ban because of a previous sending off this season.
Midfielder Danny Swanson has been ruled out due to an ankle problem, while goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik will let management know if he has recovered from illness on Monday morning. He missed the game with Bradford with Joe Day deputising between the sticks.
Posh boss Ferguson has hinted at changes with Lloyd Isgrove tipped for his first start, while Craig Alcock and Michael Bostwick could come into the starting line-up after impressive cameo's from the substitutes bench.
Ferguson said: 'We go again, it is another big match for us and in front of our own supporters. Our form at home has been good of late with three wins on the bounce and we know that our two home fixtures will be key in this run in.
'Carlisle got a point over the weekend at home, but it is more about what we do and if we play to how we have done in two and a half home fixtures out of the last three, then I would be confident of getting the right result,' Ferguson said.
Tickets for the game are available at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934 and in person at the London Road Box Office from 9am on Monday. Alternatively fans can pay on the turnstiles.
