On-loan Lloyd Isgrove was thrilled with his first professional goal.

It was just his second start for Peterborough United, but winger Lloyd Isgrove has already notched his first goal for the club and in turn, his first professional strike of his career.

The on-loan Southampton attacker converted at the second attempt after his initial shot had been parried by Chris Weale before celebrating in front of the Posh fans behind the goal.

The youngster told theposh.com: 'I was very pleased to score. I remember the ball coming back off the bar, I have had a go and the keeper has made a decent stop but as soon as it fell at my feet again, I had no hesitation, I knew what I was going to do and where I was going to put it.

'The manager will be looking at the players' he feels can do the job in the play-offs, so it is a good time for me to get into the starting line-up, but there are lots of players in this team pushing for a starting berth.

'The manager picked an attacking side and we knew we had goals in us, even they scored and got it back to 3-2, we felt we could go on and score again and in truth, we probably should have won by more goals,' Isgrove said.
