The football club will be hosting the British Heart Foundation Heartstart Training in May.

British Heart Foundation Heartstart Training, in association with Peterborough United Football Club, will be hosting a special event for Posh supporters in the Caroline Hand Executive Suite on Wednesday 7th May between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

There are around 60,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests in the UK every year. When someone goes into cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and defibrillation reduces their chances of survival by 10 per cent.

Heartstart training teaches you what to do in a life threatening emergency. Heartstart training courses are free and only take two hours. The course is suitable for all ages and covers a range of Emergency Life Support Skills (ELS) including:

•    Dealing with an unconscious casualty
•    Cardiac arrest
•    Suspected heart attack
•    Choking
•    Serious bleeding

This is a free event for Posh fans and their families. Heartstart is available for children as young as 6 years old but anyone under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult to this event.

Bookings are essential so we are able to keep control of numbers and we have the correct number of Heartstart Trainers present. You can book into the event by emailing Nigel Cole on colen@bhf.org.uk indicating you would like to attend the Heartstart training on 7th May at Peterborough United.

You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours. Light refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) will be available.
