Get Involved In NCS This Year

10 April 2014

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 15-17 year olds across England.

Teens meet and learn how to work with diverse groups of people they don’t normally get the chance to meet.

NCS helps teach the skills employers say they are increasing looking for in candidates: confidence, teamwork and leadership skills.

Every teen can participate, whether they are academic, sporty or creative and regardless of income, background or ambitions.

Delivered by Peterborough United Foundation, you can have the experience of a lifetime this Summer with every young person who sign’s up to the programme receiving 2 free tickets to a Peterborough United FC match.

Peterborough United Foundation is the official charity of Peterborough United Football Club and works with people of all ages in the Greater Peterborough area. Peterborough United prides itself on being a Community Club and, through the Foundation, recognises its responsibility to the local area.

What would make a real difference to your local community?

Graduation – Date TBC

There’s only one way to celebrate what you and all your new friends have achieved this Summer, and that’s with an Official Graduation Ceremony. Get your best outfit on and bring your family to Peterborough United Football Club to celebrate your fantastic achievement and receive your NCS Certificate signed by our Primeminister – David Cameron.

So now you’ve completed NCS, your CV looks great, you’re feeling great and you’re ready to take on the world – well the fun doesn’t stop there! Not only do we run a graduate programme for everyone who completes NCS but you could also be given the opportunity to come back as a volunteer and experience it all again but this time you’ll have the added responsibility of making sure the next cohort of young people have the best time possible!

‘If you are in doubt about whether to sign up, my advice is do it. Definitely do it. It only costs £50 to take part in something that’s fun, where you make new friends, and is memorable for a lifetime’ Robert Austin – NCS Graduate
